I'm a little embarrassed to admit it, but I was abandoned here at Safe Haven. I know it wasn't my fault, but I feel bad that nobody wanted me. I try to be a good boy and do the right thing, but for some reason, it just hasn't worked. Life was tough out there on the street, and I thought maybe I'd found my home, but then like magic, I was in a new strange place with strange people. But Oh My! These people are fabulous! They have gentle hands and kind voices, and they believe in me. They tell me that there is someone out there just for me, and you know what? I'm beginning to think it's true! I'm getting used to those sweet nothings being whispered in my ear, and I so want to return the favor to a person who will want me to be their own special boy forever. Sad stories with happy endings are the best, and you can help provide that happy ending for this sweetheart. Confetti was taken to a local kill shelter when her people found out she was pregnant. She had five babies while in a very small cage with nothing soft to sleep on, no heat or air conditioning, and no hope for herself or her tiny babies. She kept them warm and tried her best to take care of them. Luckily for her, she and all her babies were rescued, and now after raising her family, she is looking for another lucky break. She has tried so hard to get over her fears, and now she understands the joys of being loved and cuddled. She adores cuddling next to you and purrs steadily as she presses as close as she can. She loves toys and playing, and Confetti is just waiting for that special person to come along and tell her, "You're home now. You never have to worry anymore."

Yeah, kittens are great, but what about me? I just raised some of the little monsters, and let me tell you, it's no picnic being a young single mom. Life is tough out there, but I did it. Now, they're ready to go out on their own, and it's time for me to have a chance. I've heard that when you find your forever home, you get to stay there and be safe and loved for always. I think that might be heaven, and I would like a little bit of it for myself. I love to be loved on, laps are fantastic, and I promise you unconditional love for always. I had almost given up hope that I would get a chance to make it to be an old lady. In that scary place no one seemed to care that I was affectionate and loving and gentle: I was just a throwaway cat. Now, my fur is clean and shiny and everybody here keeps telling me I'm such a wonderful girl! It's blue skies and sunshine in my life now, and I would love to bring sunshine to your life. I thought about learning to belly dance, but they told me that was for girls, so I decided to learn to do a flop and roll and present my belly for rubbing. They say cats can't talk, but that's just not true. We speak in a language that anybody can understand: the soft meows that say," I'm scared," the loud purrs that say, I"'m so happy to be with you," the head butts that let you know you are loved, the half-closed eyes that say, "You make me feel safe." Yes, it's the universal cat language of love, and I just know that someone's heart out there is empty and waiting to be filled by a special cat. I hope hope hope you will choose me to be the cat to fill that place in your heart. When I was young, something happened to me that makes me a little different from other cats. We all know cats have rough tongues for keeping their fur shiny and smooth, but I don't have a sandpaper tongue. Something happened to me, and so today, my tongue is smooth. I have a little trouble with drooling, but it's not my fault, and surely someone out there can overlook such a little thing. I've not had an easy time of it so far, but I just have to believe that somewhere out there someone will come for me. Whew! It was close there, but I made it out! That was a scary place, and my time was about up when a wonderful thing happened: I won the game of life! Now, I'm here and I'm going to make the most of this second chance. I'm going to purr, give kisses and head butts, make biscuits, and do everything I can to be a really good kitty. Maybe if I do it just right, someone will come along and see into my heart and know that I am truly a kitty worth taking home.
