Affordable Pricing Options

We offer affordable options for your cat or dog.

The SAFE Care Spay / Neuter Clinic provides spaying and neutering services to cats, kittens, dogs and puppies.

Notice: If you have found an animal that needs immediate medical attention, please take it to an emergency animal hospital. We do not provide any emergency or wellness care through the SAFE Care Spay / Neuter Clinic.

Cats – $85

The fee is per animal* and includes:

  • Spaying or neutering.
  • Physical examination.
  • Rabies and distemper vaccinations.
  • Ear cleaning.
  • Nail trimming.
  • Pre and post-op pain injection.

* Additional charges apply for the services noted below.


Dogs

Male Dogs
4 to 59# – $100
60# and up – $110
Over 100# – $120

Female Dogs
4 to 59# – $100
60# and up – $125
Over 100# – $135

The fee is per animal* and includes:

  • Spaying or neutering.
  • Physical examination.
  • Rabies and distemper vaccinations.
  • Nail trimming.
  • Pre-op pain injection.

The surgery fee includes pain medication for your dog or cat that lasts up to 24 hours after surgery. There are no additional charges for animals in heat or pregnant. There may be additional fees for cryptorchid (undesended testicles) surgeries.


Veterinary Services

These charges and services are available only to spay / neuter clients at the time of the appointment. They include treatment of the following conditions and feline health care services:

Cats:

  • Take home pain medication (Onsior®) – $7 per cat
  • FeLV and FIV testing – $20 per cat (Recommended for all cats and kittens)
  • Microchipping – $15 per animal, which includes a prepaid, lifetime registration with Found Animals Microchip Registry
  • Feline Leukemia vaccine – $20 per cat (Recommended for any cat or kitten that goes outdoors)
  • Treatment for fleas, intestinal worms, heartworms, ticks and ear mites with Revolution Plus® – $15 per cat (one month supply) or $90 per cat (six month supply)
  • Treatment for intestinal parasites (roundworms, hookworms and tapeworms) with Drontal® – $10 per cat (pill form)
  • Treatment for intestinal parasites (roundworms, hookworms and tapeworms) with Profender® – $20 per cat (topical form)

Dogs:

  • Take home pain medication (Carprofen) – $10 per dog
  • Microchipping – $15 per animal, which includes a prepaid, lifetime registration with Found Animals Microchip Registry
  • Heartworm Testing – $15 per dog
  • Treatment for fleas and ticks with Activyl®​ – $10 per dog (one month supply) or $60 per dog (six month supply)
  • Treatment for intestinal parasites (roundworms, hookworms and tapeworms) with Virbantel® – $10 per dog (pill form)
  • E-collars – $10
  • Heartworm Prevention with MilbeGuard® at $35 box, 6 month supply

We offer affordable, low-cost spay / neuter services. Our current prices, excluding any specials, are listed above. Prices are subject to change at any time in our sole discretion.

Additional Services

SAFE Care Spay / Neuter Clinic provides humane traps for rent. There is a cash-only, refundable trap deposit of $20. Please contact our clinic administrator at 919.872.7730 to rent a trap.


Payment

Payment is required at drop-off in the morning. We accept cash, check or credit card (Visa®, MasterCard®, and Discover® only).
