It’s only through your support that the SAFE Care Spay/Neuter Clinic can say “yes” to cats in need. Tiny Teegan was one kitten who needed extra love to get on the path to adoption.
Community Outreach Manager Gina Jennings was notified about a colony of cats in Zebulon. After driving around the neighborhood, she found the home feeding the strays – it was overrun with cats! It was a rough situation, but the residents were happy to have the SAFE Care Spay/Neuter Clinic’s help to get medical care as well as spay and neuter all the cats in the colony. The project took a number of weeks and despite some setbacks, the SAFE Care Team, led by Dr. Tiffany Kutner, was able to help the residents that loved but couldn’t care for all their cats.
One kitten that needed some extra attention was a little nugget named Teegan. She only weighed about 2 lbs and was the size of a 2-month-old kitten, even though she was 6 months old! The SAFE Care Spay/Neuter Clinic removed her ruptured eye and gave her the medical attention she needed to feel better than she had in a long time. Teegan is so lucky to be with SAFE Haven for Cats to receive medical care and finally find a loving forever home.
You can help the SAFE Care Team continue to care for cats in need and offer spay and neutering services. Make a donation today.
