Meet Binary Fission, or B-Fizz for short!
This independent tuxedo boy has a whole world of quiet confidence. He loves a good window-watching session and gets seriously excited about a wand toy, but he’ll let you know when playtime’s over with a swish of his tail or a look that says “I’m done now.”
B-Fizz isn’t much of a talker (no meows, no purrs), and he’s not looking to be a snuggly lap cat, more of an “I’ll visit your lap when I feel like it” kind of boy. Give him space when he asks for it, and he’ll reward you with quiet company on his own terms.
He’d do best as an only pet, or alongside another animal with a similarly laid-back temperament who’s happy to leave him be. His ideal home is with someone who’s around often, but doesn’t need constant affection to feel connected. New surroundings take him some time to settle into, so a little patience up front goes a long way.

The largest pet architecture event around! Come see new teams, new designs, and adoptable pets from local rescues. Stop by the Stuff the Trunk table to donate pet food and litter, which go straight to cats at SAFE Haven.

Sips For Snips At Taps And Social
Grab a beer for a good cause! For every beer sold, $1 goes directly to spay and neuter surgeries through SAFE Care Clinic, helping prevent unwanted litters and keep cats healthy. A huge thank you to Taps and Social for hosting!

From October 26-30, every adoptable cat is $25 off. Come dressed in your best Halloween-themed gear, and that discount doubles to $50 off.
Forgot your costume at home? No worries, we’ll have a few extra pieces on hand so you can still join in the fun.
Stay Tuned For Meow-A-Ween
Keep your eyes peeled for the details of our annual Meow-A-Ween event! This is one of our favorite times of year, when the shelter gets a little spookier (in the best way), and our cats get to show off their most creative costumes. We’re still finalizing the details, but you can expect fun photo ops, treats, and plenty of chances to meet cats looking for their forever homes. Costumes, trick-or-treating, and cats- what could be better? Coming to SAFE Haven in late October!
Making SAFE Haven A Home Takes A Little Help!
Mornings are prime time for cat care, and our Shelter Cleaning Team could use another set of hands. Volunteers join us daily from 9-11 a.m. to scoop litter boxes, refresh linens and toys, top off water bowls, and sweep the floors, keeping things clean and comfortable for every cat in our care.
Getting started just takes a quick orientation and an online training module; no experience necessary. Come ready in closed-toe shoes (leave the flip-flops, tank tops, and shorts at home), and if time allows, you might sneak in a little playtime with the cats you’re helping.
