About SAFE Haven for Cats
From our humble beginnings in 1994 in a two-car garage to present day operating in a 10,800 square foot facility, you’ve been with us through change and growth that has always brought us closer to our shared goal: to end euthanasia of cats and kittens due to overpopulation.
Here are a few of our favorite accomplishments from the past year:
- We found loving homes for 1,139 cats and kittens, including our 17,000th adoption since our founding
- We sterilized 6,825 cats and dogs in our SAFE Care Clinic
- We served 36 counties across North Carolina, and 8 counties out of state
- We distributed 15,536 pounds of donated food through our Pet Food Pantry, helping keep people and their pets together in financially challenging circumstances.
- We held two low cost vaccine and microchip clinics for our community
- We were part of the trap, neuter, vaccinate, release process for 1,589 feral kitties
- We had an average of 33 volunteers onsite each week
With your support of the Tuxedo Cat Ball, we can continue to turn our shared belief in ending euthanasia due to population control into a lived reality for countless feline friends in the Triangle and beyond.
