Rescheduled Vaccination & Microchip Clinic
Unfortunately, Mother Nature didn’t want to cooperate with us, so we had to reschedule September 27th’s Vaccination and Microchip Clinic. But no need to worry – we already have a new date: Saturday, November 8. Please mark your calendar to join us!

Black Cat Awareness Month
October is Black Cat Awareness Month! Did you know that black cats are often overlooked in shelters? Let’s change that by spreading the truth instead of old myths.
Here are three cool facts to share:
- Black is actually the most common color for kitty coats.
- Some cultures see black cats as symbols of good luck and prosperity.
- Thanks to their genes, black cats often have stunning golden or yellow eyes.
Celebrate the beauty, charm, and magic of black cats this month by helping them find the homes they deserve!

Safe, Not Scary
Halloween is a time of spooky fun, but it can sometimes be dangerous for our furry friends. Here are a few tips from Ally Cat Allies to keep everyone safe on October 31:
- Make sure your decorations are cat-proof: Keep things like fake spider webbing away from kitty so they don’t eat it, and be careful with any edible decorations like pumpkins and corn.
- Candy is for humans only: Chocolate is toxic for cats, so make sure your treats are all securely out of reach.
- Watch the door: If you’re giving out candy for the holiday, make sure your cat is secured away from the door. It’s easy for them to dart out! A microchip can help reunite you should they get outside.
