Black and White Kitten on Lime Green Bed

We appreciate everyone who came out to support SAFE Haven at recent events!

  • We gave CatVideoFest two thumbs up! You awesome moviegoers sold out all the shows and raised lots of money for our shelter. Thank you thanks to CatVideoFest & Oscilloscope Labs for supporting cats!
  • We came, we saw, we ate! Our annual Spay-ghetti & No Balls dinner left us full of love and pasta! Thank you to everyone who joined us around the dinner table – we raised nearly $2,000 to help our cats! Grazie to Bella Italia for donating the yummy food!

Get Litter-ate!

We hope you’ve been able to join us at our Feline Fundamentals sessions, but did you know you can also learn about cat behavior from your own home? Check out our resource library for tips on cat behavior, how to care for kitty health and more!

Host a Foster Sleepover for SAFE Haven Kitties!

Host a Foster Sleepover for SAFE Haven Kitties!

Are there opportunities to foster kitties that do not require a long-term commitment? What if I feel anxious about caring for tiny kittens – am I still a good candidate to help with SAFE Haven’s foster program? The answer is a big YES to both questions!

At our FREE Foster Info Session, our shelter staff will discuss how many cats – not just kittens – need foster families to take a break from shelter life, to learn to be more social and to get some important enrichment that increases their chance for adoption.

Foster sleepovers may be a few weeks or it may be as long as two months. However long, it’s a rewarding and fun experience that introduces you to the foster process in an easier, less demanding way.

After attending this seminar, you will be more aware of the foster process and what types of cats and kittens will be ideal for you to care for in your home. SAFE Haven for Cats has an amazing community of fosters who will be delighted for you to join them on an immensely gratifying journey to help homeless cats and kittens find their forever homes!

Help Cats + Have Fun = Volunteering!

Help Cats + Have Fun = Volunteering!

Make a difference in our kitties’ lives!

Our volunteers play a vital role in SAFE Haven’s success. We need volunteers that are outgoing, hardworking, and want to make a difference for cats. Come to our Volunteer Information Session where you can learn about the essential role volunteers play in shelter cat care, community outreach, and adoptions.

We will have a presentation at 6:30 p.m. and then you can learn more from staff and current volunteers about opportunities, training, and the rewards of volunteering at SAFE Haven. Cat lovers ages 16 and up welcome.

Why we need you: Volunteers are needed to help clean the cat cages, socialize the cats, represent SAFE Haven at community outreach events such as Fill-A-Truck, work on special event committees like our Tuxedo Cat Ball, and much more.

We have a volunteer opportunity just for you!
